Position Overview:
Foshee Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple site development and heavy civil construction projects throughout Central Florida. This role manages projects from contract award through final completion and serves as the key point of communication between clients, engineers, field teams, and leadership.

This position requires strong experience in job costing, scheduling, and managing field operations while maintaining project timelines and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple civil construction projects including earthwork, utilities, and site development.
  • Coordinate with estimators during project handoff and review bids, scopes, and quantities.
  • Review contracts, plans, and specifications in their entirety.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules throughout the lifecycle of each job.
  • Oversee job costing, budgeting, and cost tracking to ensure profitability.
  • Initiate project buyout, issue purchase orders, and manage subcontract agreements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews.
  • Track submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
  • Ensure permits, clearances, and inspections are obtained and maintained.
  • Manage NPDES permits, SWPPP, and required environmental compliance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly pay applications, change orders, and cash flow projections.
  • Review daily production reports (quantities, time, etc.) for accuracy.
  • Coordinate survey, testing, utility locates, and inspections.
  • Communicate changes in plans/specs to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Lead project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Superintendents to resolve field issues and maintain production.
  • Manage project closeout, including final documentation and record drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in site development or heavy civil construction project management.
  • Strong background in earthwork, underground utilities, and site preparation.
  • Proven experience with job costing, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project, HCSS, AGTEK, Bluebeam, or similar software is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Combination of office and active construction site work.
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain and navigate active job sites.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
